THANK YOU!

We just wanted to send out a big thank you to all of you who helped send our Turks to EuroCon 2010. It was incredible humbling to see how the global Body of Christ responded with love and support. Because of you, we will have a great Turkish representation this year!
So far, we have five men coming - Niyazi, Bora, Alp, Garip, and Veli. This is a huge miracle and absolutely could not have been a reality without the incredible heart of love and giving that you have shown us. Again, thank you so much!
See you in Budapest!

Pray for the great men of God in Greater Grace Istanbul!

Grace in the modern world?

Is grace the message for the modern world today? Or is there another message that could be more "effective" that should be used to build God's church?
I really believe that we need, more than ever, to focus on the message of Grace as we live and share the gospel message in this lost world. In Malachi 3:6, God says, " I am the Lord, I change not!" Thank you, Lord, for You do not change. This is one thought I had as I listened to P. Matti's message about grace last Sunday night. Refreshing, but more importantly, reassuring that God's grace doesn't demand, doesn't control, but only creates!! Grace creates a capacity to allow the Holy Spirit to work through our weak and frail bodies to manifest the life of Christ to those around us. And not only that, grace teaches us how to live, love and serve our Lord and Savior! (Titus 2:12) So in this modern world we live in where man is always inventing, building and discovering something new and better, can grace be used? Yes, because amidst all this change and outward perfection, man in his best form is as dust! Ever learning but never knowing! And thats because as Christ said in 2 Cor. 12:9, "My grace is sufficient for thee, for My strength is made perfect in your weakness." Then, inspired by the Spirit, Paul said, "Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me." Think of that.....that the power of Christ may rest upon me! The only one, true Conqueror of death, lives and moves in us! And as P. Stevens loved to say when he talked about God's grace, "We become trophies of Grace."
